Learn moreDisability Action Plan
Work continues implementing Victorian Labor’s Disability Action Plan.
We are the only political party that is serious about supporting people with a disability and that has committed to an Action Plan!
Right now, we are focusing on making State Conference more accessible for all. We recently developed a Workplace Adjustment Policy for staff, and the Administrative Committee agreed to form a Disability Inclusion Sub-Committee to consider matters such as:
- Virtual and hybrid meetings with full member rights and responsibilities
- Increased representation by people with disability in leadership positions, committees and in elected office, and
- Reviewing the Party Rules via a disability lens.
A reminder that our official group within Victorian Labor for people who experience disability, carers and others interested in disability policy and to provide a place of support is Labor Enabled. Please think about joining.
If you have any questions about our work on the Disability Action Plan, feel free to contact Tina Samardzija, Director of Engagement and Training, at [email protected].
